I'm Luke J. Jones, a lifelong science fiction nerd who loves stories that balance big ideas with deeply human characters. I write character-driven science fiction that blends space opera scale, near-future technology, and just enough wonder to feel cinematic, without losing emotional grounding.

My stories focus on people pushed into impossible situations: rebels, outsiders, and ordinary individuals forced to confront moral dilemmas in extraordinary worlds. While I love expansive worldbuilding and speculative concepts like artificial intelligence and advanced technology, characters always come first. Hope, rebellion, and the choices we make under pressure are themes I return to again and again.

I come from a background in software development, which naturally feeds my fascination with technology and its consequences. When I'm not writing, I'm usually lost in immersive games or rewatching science fiction that inspires me, everything from sweeping space epics to quieter, more philosophical stories. I'm also drawn to storytelling beyond science fiction, with a growing interest in genres like fantasy, mystery, and thrillers that explore different kinds of worlds, tension, and discovery.

I write the kinds of stories I love to read: fast-paced, dialogue-heavy, occasionally funny, and emotional without tipping into melodrama.

My debut novel, Quantum Soul, is the first book in the Serra Prime series and marks the beginning of a universe I plan to explore for a long time.
